Looking for more active duty firefighters as alternates

Due to the large number of wildfire deployments across Texas we are losing quite a few of our climbers.  We are looking for approximately twenty-five more active duty firefighters to join our alternate list to ensure that every single one of the 343 FDNY brothers are represented in Dallas on the ten year anniversary.  If you are interested, please send an email to registrations@dallasstairclimb.com with your name, department affiliation, email and phone number.

07/29/2011 Committee Meeting at Venue

Need more participants. Running low on registrations. Event phone number is 214-695-3921. Ordering NFFF memorial brick for next year. Close to reaching our goal of 150 volunteers including the Kohls volunteers. 298 registrations to date, will be reaching out to alternates and others for more participants. Dallas Fire event coordinator was at meeting and will fill EMS position and get with climb coordinator to finalize DFD and DSC connections. Pipes and Drums confirmed and finalizing symbolic elements.Starting to send out press releases to media outlets. Have collected $34k in pledges, $1700 in NFFF donations to date. Will be working on fundraisers for future DSC climbs and covering this years expenses. All water needed for 9/11/11 has be taken care of. Some volunteer meals have been covered also.

6/30/2011 Committee Meeting at Venue

Official registration will open tomorrow - those who early registered will be given until the July 15th to register or they may lose their spot.  New pledge platform.  T-shirt design finalized.  Event plan nearing completion. Still looking for Pipe and Drum band.  Website look has changed.  Still looking for at least 50 more volunteers.

6/16/2011 Committee Meeting at Venue

Reviewing best online registration and pledge platforms for our event.  2 cancellations to date, alternate list down to 46...and the changes has resulted in 81 departments being represented at this years event.  Honor Guard element added to event.  CBS11/TXA21 have joined on as official media partners of this event.  Received $3,000+ in pledges to date.
